Privacy Policy
This describes what TrustRec collects, why, and what we do with it. It pairs with our Security page, which covers how the data is protected.
What we collect
- Your email address — to sign you in and send transactional messages (sign-in links, a package-ready confirmation, and monthly reconciliation reminders).
- Trust account details you enter — account name, bank name, and the last four digits of the account number (masked). Never a full account number, and never bank credentials.
- The report exports you upload and the reconciliation packages we generate from them, kept as your audit trail.
Why we use it
Only to provide the Service: to prepare your reconciliation packages, keep them available for the retention window, send the transactional emails above, and take payment. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
A short, named list of processors, each used only to run the Service:
- Fly.io — hosting and database.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
- Paddle — payments, as merchant of record. Your card details go to Paddle, not to us.
How long we keep it
Because North Carolina requires trust account records to be retained (21 NCAC 58A .0108), we keep your packages and their source files for that look-back window, and cancelling never deletes them. We will delete your account and data on request once you've retrieved anything you're required to keep.
Your choices
- Download any of your packages at any time from your file cabinet.
- Request a copy or deletion of your data by email.
- Reminder emails are part of the Service; contact us if you'd like them stopped for an account.
